"why think no? Atun love scale bannik, you scale bannik. Atun love you, pledge to eat to him and many blessing of Atun come to you!" *lek fishes in his leather pouch and takes out a small wooden carved idol of a frog with designs carved on his face* "totem of Atun, see great maw?"
*lek crawls up on the table and starts chanting in bannik which sounds a lot like croaking he dances a bit and then puts his hand on robins head* "great maw now hear voice, Atun now know you follow now"
"Floxx." Halamar's voice was quiet and cold, the morning frost on the grass. "Did you just serve a piece of human in front of two humans?" Halamar stood suddenly, blowing the stool out from under him. His voice grew too loud for his small frame, thunder and fury in the air, "I came in as a well-meaning patron, willing to be as a guest - give to you from the spices of my homeland! - and yet you give out some brother or sister of mine as food? To insult me, by not giving my fellow man the proper burial he deserves?" His voice petered out, becoming hushed while maintaining its power. "I can understand not knowing the customs of another race, but surely you serve no kitsune meat - perhaps not even any fox meat? How could you serve the flesh of any other sentient being?"
Halamar calms enough to regain his composure and steady voice, but maintains a tight expression. "I have paid for my meal, and a cup of water. Render these to me and our business is concluded."
"You, uh....you just stepped off the boat from the mainland, didn't you?" He asked, not the slightest bit surprised by Halamar's horror.
"You're in a forest full of talking animals, friend. All sorts of meat's available here, since we're all carnivores. Except Franl over there, he eats veggies only."
"Hey, it's a perfectly healthy alternative!" An orc called out when he heard his name.
"Yeah, yeah, enjoy your carrots, ya big dope!" Floxx said with a snicker. He became serious again and leaned in.
"Look, I understand you're a bit creeped out by all this, but you shouldn't worry so much. Most of our kind actually prefer it. That way we don't come back as filthy disgusting ZOMBIES LIKE SOME LIZARDMAN SEEM TO ENJOY." he continued, raising his voice so Robin could hear.
"I don't know if you're aware, but we actually had a horrible undead outbreak long ago. It was so bad we had to call in reinforcements from human settlements on the mainland, but even they were killed by the undead. We managed to contain them to a very small section of the forest, but now we either cremate our dead or eat our dead. Probably why that bannik over there is allowed to walk around with Drei knows how many kinds of meat in his pockets."
Halamar nodded his head in acknowledgement, once - a sharp, quick gesture of lightning - then walked stiffly to the minstrel, placed his hand on a chair at the same table. "May I join you, brother minstrel?"
*m'elanin looks up but continues playing. His irises are an unnatural red as he raises his gaze to meet the one who approached him.* "of course, take a seat and let my music soothe your weary soul." * he looks back down at his lute and the tune changes slightly. All in the room save the lizardman hear a calming melody. The lizardman hears the music but it evokes feelings of paranoia

Upon hearing the music, Reilly turns to gaze at the man with the lute. She stares for a moment before abandoning her drink all together to move closer. Stopping about five feet away, she sits at a random table, regardless of any current occupants. A smile plays upon her lips as she rests her head on her folded and stares intently, as if completely captivated by the man and his music.
*lek nodded back, hanging onto his blowgun like a walking stick before scampering over to his lizard friend, not particularly paying much mind to the music, just chilling with one of the dudes that gave him food*
* A young, short haired women walks into the room to the sound of the minstrels music and quickly finds a lone spot a corner of the room to take a seat. She dusts off her book she carries and begins to read quietly to herself enjoying the music that flows into her ears.
Suddenly the music from the tavern was interrupted by a commotion outside.
"HELP!" It cried out. A catfolk stumbled into the tavern. His fur was flustered and unkept, his clothing suggesting he was from a monk order.
"I need help! Orcs are going to destroy the forest!" he cried.
"Hey, no we're not! At least, I don't think we are..." Called out one of the orcs from the corner of the room.
"Whoa, whoa, slow down man, what's going on?" Floxx said as he walked over to the catfolk.
"An orc warlord has stolen the Drei stone from my monk order!"
"Oh my god, the Drei stone? The Drei stone?! .....I don't know what that is."
"It's the stone that gives L'aeldrei his power! With it, the orc can destroy the entire forest! He kicked me off my normal post and now he has the stone. If we don't stop him, the entire forest will be destroyed!"
Dingmamon: the sanctuary would help if the group tried to just murder hobo them from the start, or if they ran away, but if you describe them how you did, i don't think they'd just attack for no reason

Guest: This place still active?
Apr 13, 2016 7:01:34 GMT
Dingmamon: not really. the guy who started it is in the military now, and those of us that did stick around had life stuff come up
Apr 13, 2016 20:12:19 GMT
shogungari: Hey Ding, I see you still come here. Any incentive to revive this place?
Jun 29, 2016 23:20:30 GMT
Dingmamon: I would love to, but really the only time I have to actually check it is when i'm at work. If you want to revive it by advertising and stuff, I will do what I can to keep it up and running smoothly for you, but I probably wouldn't be able to actively

Dingmamon: participate in any games
Jun 30, 2016 18:58:33 GMT
Dingmamon: By all means if you want to set something up and run it, go for it. I still have Admin access since Zekey left it to me when he joined the Navy, and from conversations with him, he probably isn't coming back
Jun 30, 2016 19:00:30 GMT
Dingmamon: Alternatively, if you wanted to set your own one of these up, you would have the ability to shape it and tailor it to what you wanted a bit more, and I'd be willing to help keep things organized on it so you can focus on people and games
Jun 30, 2016 19:05:52 GMT
shogungari: Nope, just seeing if you had something planned.

Remnant of the Shadows: (zzz)All the dead roleplays. It's a sad sight to see what was once fun lie only in ruins.
