"Right, right, we need to get going. I wasn't able to get a cart or horses in this town so we'll need to find something in the next town over- Manaridge. It's about a day's walk from here." Harold said as he pointed down a well-worn path leading into the forest. The treeline blanketed the ground, making it difficult to see the horizon. "And the 300 miles is a rough estimate. I'll admit, I haven't been in town for a few years- I spent all my time at the temple. Well, if everyone's set, I say we head out!" OOC: Roll20 board can be found here: app.roll20.net/join/777511/2cC5eQ. Please join and fill out your character sheets when you get a chance. We won't be using them exclusively, but it's always good to have on hand.

*Denora checks over her bags and checks to make sure she has all of her books on her*
" A day to the nearest town is nothing much, but with the task we have at hand it is a trivial matter and I would much rather deal with the issue sooner rather then later. But perhaps its best we re supply there rather then push ourselves to the point of being at a disadvantage.

As the group walked, Harold looked back at Denora with a raised eyebrow.
"You want to be at a disadvantage?" He asked. The forest path was brightly lit by the mid-day sun, but patches of shadow covered the trail. Wildlife could be heard- birds chirping, small animals running away from the path as the group past, the crunching of dirt under their feet.
OOC:
Can I get a Perception or Knowledge(Nature) check from everyone, please?

Reilly looked about herself as though to check her equipment, or lack there of, before sheepishly wandering a few yards from the group to grab the lead of small brown pony, grazing near by.
"Ready!"

*Denora looks surprised at Harold's question then looks at the ground with a sad look*
"No no I just don't like putting things off is all..."
OOC: Just a d20 plus our skill right?

OOC: Yes, you would type into the die "1d20+" and then add whatever number for the skill check you were using. Make sure to mention which one it is.
For example, if your perception was 12 you would type "1d20+12". It'll look like this:
HkE_A_xM1d20+12
Also, Yami, there's no horses in this town. That's why they have to travel to the next town.1d20+12

Halamar breathed deeply, quieting his mind for the journey ahead. He took a late lead, allowing himself to drift to the back of the group - bringing up the rear as they travelled. Not only did he want to keep an eye on his new companions, he thought for a moment, mumbled something under his breath in an odd language and allowed the Detect Magic spell he cast to feed him information. He managed to get the entire group together, and did a basic check to see if any of them had any active spells or magic items on them before focusing on Harold to confirm the teleportation portion of his story, then allowed the magic to fade. Halamar settled into his travelling pace following, maintaining a steady but low energy gait while ensuring to check his surroundings at intervals. He struck a good balance between having his head swivelling noticeably and making sure he looked in every direction - including to the rear - at least once per minute.
Halamar isn't trained in Knw(Arcana), so I can't roll that to determine if there is a lingering aura of the appropriate type on Harold to back up his story, but I do have spellcraft, if that works: pC_igZSu1d20+7Halamar will be making passive perception checks, i.e. taking 10 every minute or so (it's not a crit, that's the total): 20-20Halamar's requested Knw(Nature) is: 1d20+71d20+7·20-20·1d20+7

OOC: Spellcraft will not work for this. Sense Motive works if you want to see if he's telling the truth. Your Detect Magic detects no magic in the vicinity. I'll report your knowledge check when everyone rolls.

As the party continued their walk, Finwe noticed minute footprints in the dirt. The prints were scattered about, as if a large group had gotten into a fight. Most interesting of all was how worn the prints were- either the fight happened a long time ago or someone frantically attempted to cover their tracks. Finwe was able to tell the tracks seem to head off in the same direction as the party's destination. Although the tracks are faded, Finwe can tell they're of a small creature....goblins, perhaps?
OOC: If you want to RP conveying the information you can.

Your perception check is also enough to see the tracks. They're surprisingly well covered and seem to fade off down the path.

*D'Jangus slows and kneels down examining the tracks* "It appears that someone may have been trying to cover their tracks along this path heading towards our destination. I'm a fairly adept tracker, should I take the lead to see if their path diverges from ours at all?"
*Pre-emptive Survival roll to follow tracks* 7OgH|ale1d20+9 (I'm assuming forest terrain) 1d20+9

As D'Jangus walked past Harold to follow the tracks, Harold stopped and raised an eyebrow.
"What? Tracks?" He said, looking back at the trail. He scratched the back of his head and shrugged before contiuing to walk.
"Well.....I mean, this is a popular road, maybe people have been here lately. We should probably pick up the pace if we want to make it to Manaridge before nightfall, though." He said, matching his walk speed with D'Jangus. D'Jangus continued looking for tracks and following them, but sadly they seem to vanish after a few hundred feet.
