Gnolls, known for their hideous appearance and monstrous personality, are the stuff of nightmares. Many villages cower in fear at the disgusting hyena abominations capable of tearing them in half and devouring their insides ravenously with no regard to their family watching in horror.
Corgi gnolls, however, are the opposite. Their small stature and adorable faces bring nothing but coos and belly rubs. Corgi gnolls are a subspecies of gnoll that retain their canine physiology but none of the ferocity. Corgi gnolls, true to their name, are corgi-like in appearance. Stout with fluffy fur ranging from brown to bluish to black, with large floppy canine ears that plop gently down on their head. Their stubby hands have no claws, but their short snout contains rows of sharp teeth. With large adorable eyes they're capable of seeing in the dark easily and their small nose is capable of smelling the faintest of scents. They communicate with barks and growls but are capable of learning human speech, albeit with difficulty. Hailing from local forests, Corgi gnolls form large packs that stay in one area of the forest without migrating. Although the societies are matriarchy, all members of the pack are considered equal. The color of their fur generally determines what roles they take on but it's not unheard of for taking another role they desire. Corgi gnolls are nimble and surprisingly tough for their tiny size. Corgi gnolls are known for their beautiful artistic talent.
Corgi gnolls love meeting other races and are a generally happy and upbeat race. They're quite keen on the idea of being a pet for other races despite their intellect, with the logic being free food, board, and belly rubs are worth the cost of sitting on the floor at the request of their master and retrieving a ball their master has a tendency to hurl long distances.
