The hilltop was particular nice in the afternoon, now that the sun was setting. Sitting on the hill just right made sure the sun wasn't in your eyes but also lit the area up bright enough to enjoy the lush green landscape. It was Craig's favorite spot, and despite his imposing 10 foot height, the hill giant was careful not to destroy the surrounding trees as he rested his head. As he closed his eyes for a quick nap a red glow appeared on his wristband. He looked down and sighed.
"Another day, another gold." He mused. With a flick of his wrist a blue oval-shaped portal appeared near him. Inside was what appeared to be a street corner and a building with the words "Delim's Deli" over to the doorway. He stepped through casually and ended up on the street corner. As he walked towards the building, slightly too small for him to step into without crouching, a human man in his 40s walked out holding a box.
"Hey, chief." Craig said with a wave. The man grunted.
"You're three seconds late." He replied. Craig chuckled.
"No, you're just three seconds early."
"Hmph. Anyway, got a call in from a cait sith named Darrik. He wants this tuna hoagie at his castle three miles out of town. Usual evil mastermind castle, you can't miss it. He ordered about five minutes ago, so-"
"I know, I know, 30 minutes or it's free. Who the Null are you talking to? You think I'm a blade courier to impress the ladies?"
There was a pause as the man looked at him with a raised eyebrow. Craig shrugged.
"Alright, but still, I'll get it to him. Count on me, chief." He said as he grabbed the meal and made a portal to outside of town.
"That's my delivery boy." The man said with a smile.
"Upububub, Delivery man. A little dignity goes a long way, chief." Craig said as he walked through the portal. Moments later it closed up, leaving the man alone. He chuckled.
"I'd be lost without that boy." He said to himself.
